Our Gift Day
Kinawley & Holy Trinity holds an annual Gift Day. This day (and the lead-up to it) gives us an opportunity to reflect on God’s goodness and to pray how we share in providing for the needs the parish – the primary gospel work and the building up of God’s people.

Alongside Gift Day this year we have, as a select vestry, produced our first official budget for the year 2022. This can be accessed via the link below this section. The purpose of doing this has been to increase transparency with our membership as to how their generous giving is spent and also to inform them of how much it costs financially to ‘run’ as a parish. The Gift Day for 2021 was held on Sunday 21st November and thank you to all those who have generously contributed so far and for donations still to come in. We have also set out a target in our budget for 2022.

Our 2022 Gift Day target is:
~ £13,000 in one-off gifts
~ £5,000 in new regular giving

The Gift Day Target
We are so thankful that despite the myriad of challenges the last 2 years have brought, our Heavenly Father inspired His people to continue to give generously. Thank you to all concerned. Our financial giving is one way in which we learn to rely on God. In turn, the church is wiser to rely upon the Lord rather than accumulated savings.

The target for Gift Day is in two parts: regular and one-off Gifts. These targets serve two different church needs.

There is always a target for regular giving because, every year there may be a reduction in membership for different reasons as well as other unforeseen factors. Thankfully the Lord knows our needs and it’s been a joy to see other families join in recent years as well as some renewing fellowship. The target for regular giving is present particularly to encourage new members of the congregation to share in the work of the church.

One-off gifts at this time, allow Kinawley & Holy Trinity to meet its annual financial needs, but this target also recognises that some of us are not able to give regularly and it is right that we all have an opportunity to share in the work of Lord in the practical way. It would also be our prayer down the line to see some of this one-off giving being used to support mission. Perhaps we can become not just a people of ‘maintenance’ but one which is outward looking and gospel-centred. Generous to others because we realise how much God has done for us? Please keep praying for such a mindset in our parish.

How to respond

There are a number of ways in which someone can contribute towards the Gift Day appeal. The main way in which people tend to contribute is through a freewill offering deposited at the Gift Day services or sent by post to the Parish Treasurer. However, it is also possible to contribute by direct debit (details of which are on our giving page), or indeed online by following this link, which will take you direct to our online donations page. In all cases, it is a great help if you would inform the Church Treasurer (Mrs Carol Follis) of your intentions.

If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid is a means by which the value of your gift can increase by 25% without any additional cost to you. If you are eligible, please signify your intentions through downloading and completing the form by following this link if you have not already done so.

Your response will be confidential and known only to the Church Treasurer.

Please make cheques payable to “Kinawley & Holy Trinity” and send to:
